Field of Expertise: Tom Csordas is an expert on psychological and medical anthropology, anthropological theory, comparative religion,cultural phenomenology and embodiment, globalization and social change, language and culture. He conducts research on the contemporary U.S. and Native North America, and directs the CAPES/FIPSE student exchange consortium on “Cultural diversity, Social Inequality, and the Pursuit of Health in Brazil and the United States.”
