David G. Gutierrez teaches Chicano history, comparative immigration and ethnic history, and politics in the twentieth-century United States. He was educated at the University of California, Santa Barbara and took the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University. In addition to his work at UCSD, he has taught at Stanford, the University of Utah, and the California Institute of Technology.
