Area of Expertise: Nieto-Solís is an expert on economics
of the European Union (EU). He teaches European economy and international
economic organization and he is the Academic Director of the Center
for European Studies and Documentation (Universidad Complutense
de Madrid, UCM). He has been a technical advisor at the Spanish
Agency for International Cooperation (1989-1992) and Vice-Dean at
the Department of Economics and Business Administration of the UCM
(1993-1999). Recent research projects include different studies
about economic integration in Europe and Latin America and some
publications about the European budget and the EU common policies.
