Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies (LACES) is a cross-disciplinary academic journal focused on ethnicity, race relations, and indigenous peoples. The journal has been headquartered at the Center for Iberian & Latin American Studies (CILAS) since it was launched in 2006.
LACES features conceptual contributions, case studies, and comparative analyses on ethnic issues in all the countries Latin America and the Caribbean. It welcomes submissions by authors from anywhere in the world and from all the relevant disciplines in the Social Sciences and the Humanities. All submissions to the journal are subject to rigorous peer review.
LACES is published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis and it is institutionally supported by Center for Iberian & Latin American Studies and by the Office of Graduate Studies at the University of California, San Diego.
